Our primary goal is to reach the children of Ghana with the Gospel of Jesus Christ so they can:
- walk in the power of Jesus Christ
- achieve their full potential and carry His Light to their families, peers, schools, communities, and country, and
- impact the world for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We achieve that goal through practical teachings, activities relevant to the lives of the children, and working to meet their physical needs.

15 Years!
2013 will mark 15 years of GCO ministering in Ghana! We praise God for His calling and His faithfulness. We are planning a celebration to remember all He has done. We are especially inviting everyone who has ministered with us in Ghana to join us again during the summer of 2013 for our summer outreach and celebration. Travel dates will be confirmed in March but VBS is usually the week spanning the end of July and the beginning of August - depending on the closing date for Ghanaian public schools.
Van
A large percent of our budget each summer is spent on transportation. Shama, our base, is a 4 hour drive from the airport and once in Shama, we travel daily to the surrounding villages. Additionally, we must transport the soccer teams to the tournament.

For several years now, we have been discussing purchasing a van to help us better utilize the funds we have. The time has come for us to take that step. We have found one that will meet our needs, a 16-passenger GMC. We have negotiated a price of $12,000 US.

VBS
Grace Community Outreach began in 1998 with Vacation Bible School in two villages. We have grown each year and, in 2012 ministered to over 9,000 children in 37 villages.
Each year, the theme of VBS focuses on Biblical teachings that the students and teachers can apply to their lives. Children memorize scripture verses, and learn about Bible heroes who are not so different from us.
